PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support an industry-leading aviation innovator. In this role, you’ll help drive the next generation of manufacturing technologies—combining expertise in additive manufacturing, materials engineering, and process optimization to create production solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Operate and maintain advanced 3D printers and scanning equipment.
Design and model components for additive manufacturing using CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
Perform dimensional verification and quality control on additive parts.
Stay up to date on emerging 3D printing technologies and new raw materials.
Provide expertise in metallic and non metallic materials, including polymer matrix composites, alloys, and structural bonding.
Develop and evaluate new materials, test methods, and validation reports.
Partner with design and engineering teams to influence material selection and ensure specification compliance.
Develop and refine manufacturing processes for additive and digital fabrication workflows.
Support capital equipment decisions and implement advanced technologies.
Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert supporting engineering and manufacturing teams.
Conduct training to qualify operators and expand team capability in additive manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 2+ years of technical experience in advanced manufacturing focused on additive manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with 3D printing, scanning equipment, and CAD software.
Strong knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials, polymer matrix composites, alloys, and structural bonding.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
SolidWorks experience.
AS9100 familiarity.
Experience with material qualification programs and statistical data analysis.
