Summary:
Design and develop Linux kernel modules for VFS interception and data offload.
Implement memory page pinning and manage kernel memory safely.
Build and manage scatter-gather DMA tables for high-speed data transfer.
Integrate with cryptographic accelerators (hardware or user space).
Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally and produce clear technical documentation.
Requirements:
Active security clearance required.
2+ years of experience developing, building, and debugging Linux kernel modules (C, kbuild/DKMS).
Strong knowledge of Linux internals (scheduling, memory management, synchronization).
Proficiency in systems-level C programming and kernel coding practices.
Experience with secure kernel-space development (race conditions, memory safety, error handling).
Experience with SELinux, AppArmor, or similar LSM frameworks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with VFS hooks (e.g., vfs_read/vfs_write, kprobes).
Memory management and page pinning (e.g., get_user_pages, pin_user_pages_fast).
Scatter-gather DMA and Linux DMA engine APIs.
Linux Crypto API and key management (kernel keyring, KMS/HSM integration).
User-space communication (netlink, ioctl, char devices, shared memory).
Testing and profiling tools (kunit, kselftest, perf, ftrace, bpftrace).
Hardware crypto offload (e.g., Intel QAT, FPGA, TrustZone).
Experience with TEEs (SGX, OP-TEE) or high-performance I/O (DPDK).
Prior contributions to Linux kernel subsystems.
Certifications (LFCE, CISSP, GSEC) and/or regulated industry experience (aerospace, defense, ITAR).
