PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation innovator to hire a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer in Ridley Park, PA. Your Impact

In this role, you’ll help design, analyze, and integrate critical aircraft systems that ensure performance, safety, and reliability. Your work will directly support the development of advanced aviation technologies and enable seamless system functionality from concept through production.

What You’ll Do

• Develop detailed mechanical system component and assembly designs
• Support the design and integration of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and procedures
• Perform spatial integration and assist with modifications to systems such as landing gear and mechanisms
• Participate in technical reviews of supplier designs and resolve non-conformances
• Analyze design results and contribute to engineering reviews
• Support requirements development and system safety analysis activities
• Assist with proposal development and new business initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and manufacturability

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design or related engineering role
• Experience with mechanical systems design and analysis
• Familiarity with CATIA or similar CAD tools
• Understanding of requirements development and engineering documentation
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with system safety analysis
• Familiarity with DOORS or requirements management tools
• Exposure to aerospace mechanical systems (landing gear, fluid systems, etc.)
• Experience supporting supplier design reviews and resolving non-conformances
