Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembly Planner for a contract opportunity in Torrance, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): •Proven experience as a Assembly Planner or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. •Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management or production planning. •Strong understanding of supply chain and production planning concepts. •Proficiency in production planning software (specifically: EPICOR Kinetic, but SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is acceptable). •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization. •Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. •Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: •Generate and update documentation required for fabrication, manufacturing and assembly of components to meet drawing and Robinson procedure specifications. •Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and production capacity. •Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate any delays, equipment failures, or other disruptions. •Collaborate with procurement to ensure raw materials are available for production and avoid shortages or excess inventory. •Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly to minimize waste and optimize resource usage. •Track and report key production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions. •Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in all production planning activities. •Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and resource utilization. •Continuously improving planning processes and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): •Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus. •A&P License
