Summary:
Write, edit, and develop technical publications (manuals, procedures, specifications) for complex systems.
Support Precision Fires programs (MLRS, HIMARS, GMLRS, ATACMS, PrSM).
Develop Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), DMWRs, RPSTLs, and graphics per military/commercial standards.
Collaborate with engineers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Support technical data development within Logistics Management Information (LMI) systems (GEIA-STD-0007 compliant).
Research and develop technical content using engineering drawings, specifications, and SME input.
Ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with military standards.
Prepare and oversee technical illustrations (diagrams, charts, graphics).
Participate in technical reviews and customer meetings.
Conduct quality reviews and validation of documentation.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
3 5 years of experience in technical writing/publications
Proficiency with XML and SGML
Experience with Arbortext, UltraEdit, or similar tools
Knowledge of MIL-STD-40051, MIL-STD-2361, MIL-PRF-63002, MIL-PRF-63033
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Experience developing maintenance manuals (installation, test, repair, troubleshooting)
IETM development experience
Experience creating graphics (e.g., IsoDraw or similar tools)
Ability to research and validate technical content with cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with validation & verification (V&V) of technical publications
Experience with IADS 4.0
Knowledge of XSL-FO, XSLT, and scripting
Experience with CMS tools (Windchill, S1000D)
Experience with LMI systems (SLICwave, PowerLogJ)
Experience supporting logistics demonstrations
Military experience (MLRS/HIMARS operator or maintenance preferred)
Experience with CAD tools (Creo or similar)
