JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer Payload Avionics & Data Systems Integration (Onsite)
LOCATION: Mojave, CA
SALARY: $120,000-206,000/year

Summary:
Oversee payload avionics and data systems requirements development, tracking, and integration.
Define and execute payload integration, test, and data collection activities.
Ensure payload testing meets customer and system requirements.
Support test planning, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), execution, troubleshooting, and post-test analysis.
Develop and optimize data analysis methods and tools.
Establish and enforce standards for test planning and documentation.
Coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Senior Level: Bachelor s + 5 10 years experience
Staff Level: Bachelor s + 10 20 years experience
Experience in at least two of the following: Systems Engineering, Avionics/Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, Propulsion, GNC/Flight Controls, Aerodynamics
Systems engineering experience, including participation in major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
Experience with avionics and/or data systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Jira)
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Jama, Cameo, DOORS)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in small, fast-paced engineering teams
Familiarity with avionics, instrumentation, software, structures, fluid systems, or propulsion systems
Experience with aerospace configuration control and change management
Experience with hypersonic or air-launched vehicle programs
Experience with risk identification and mitigation
Experience defining and verifying requirements for advanced aerospace systems
Active DoD Secret clearance
Programming experience (MATLAB, Python)
Advanced experience with CAD, Jira, and requirements tools
