JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Jacksonville, FL
PAY RATE: $34/hour

Summary:

Assemble, disassemble, and modify aircraft systems and components (remove, replace, upgrade).

Perform structural repairs using knowledge of fatigue, corrosion, stress analysis, and material properties.

Conduct structural repair, overhaul, nondestructive inspection, corrosion control, and composite work.

Inspect components and verify repairs meet airworthiness standards.

Document work, test results, modifications, and inspections to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.

Maintain and repair aircraft systems including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, engines, and mechanical components.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and restore system functionality.

Interpret technical documentation (blueprints, manuals, schematics) to complete work.

Use specialized tools and equipment (torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, sheet metal tools, test equipment).

Make entries in aircraft logs and records as required.

Prioritize workload to meet project schedules and occasionally lead small teams on complex tasks.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (not required to start)

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience with P-8 aircraft

Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting and repair procedures

Working knowledge of technical publications

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
