Quality Control Technician

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a contract opportunity in Chelmsford, MA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Interim Secret clearance required prior to start
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of blueprint readings/interpretation, math and instrument reading as well as a complete understanding of wiring diagrams. • Must know how to use basic measuring equipment and instruments used to continuity check various assemblies/components including basic personal computing literacy.
• Is required to know and fully understand the workmanship acceptance criteria used on the production floor.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of all paperwork/documentation associated with the aforementioned inspection functions, also must be able to properly document in a neat and legible manner, all types of errors or discrepancies found.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the correct procedures to follow and precautions to take when performing their work in order to prevent damage to equipment and/or material and injury to self and/or others.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs all types of inspections to support all phases of assembly and manufacturing, including but not limited to subcontracted and/or purchased parts.
• Must maintain a neat and orderly work/inspection area.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Cleanroom Experience
• J-STD-001 certification (active or inactive)
• IPC-610 certification (active or inactive)
• MIL-STD-883 experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•May require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
•Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

WORK HOURS:
•Full-Time- 4/10-2nd Shift- Monday-Thursday (4pm-2:30am).
•Will train for 2-3 months on First Shift hours (6:00am-4:30pm)

ADDITIONAL:
•Active or inactive security clearance preferred.
•interim secret required prior to starting role.
