Our Aerospace Client based in Shanghai, require the support of an Engineer with the following skills and experience on a contract basis: The SRMT - Safety and Reliability, Maintainability, Testability- Engineer is responsible for conducting SRMT assessments of avionic systems/products for our client in Aerospace client in Shanghai and reports to the SRMT Technical Manager within the Chief Engineering Organization. The engineer will demonstrate accountability and independence in performing SRMT analyses and addressing safety-related concerns.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Conduct safety analyses e.g., Fault Tree Analysis, Common Mode Analysis, generation of Safety requirements at system, subsystem, and product levels.
Conduct RMT analyses e.g., reliability predictions, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis at system, subsystem, and product levels.
Execute S&RMT activities in adherence with our client's systems standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in system development within airborne/avionics or related industries.
Experience in S&RMT analyses of airborne/avionics systems or related industries.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ARP4754A, ARP4754B, ARP4761, and ARP4761A.
Proficiency with CAFTA or other commonly used safety software tools.
Knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and testability engineering practices and standards such as MILHDBK217F or HDBK217Plus.
Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desired Characteristics:
S&RMT engineering experience across the full development lifecycle of aviation products.
Familiarity with IMA regulations and standards such as AC20170 and DO297.
Experience with system, hardware, or software design, verification, and validation processes.
Background in aerospace electronics/avionics engineering including development and qualification to DO178B, DO254, and DO160G standards.
Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with engineering tools and systems.
