Schedule: 9x80 Schedule | Rotational Shifts (must support all 3 shifts)
Pay Rate Starting at: $35.27 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Aerospace Technician to support spacecraft Integration & Test (I&T) operations. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with flight hardware and test systems that directly support advanced space missions. Your expertise will help ensure spacecraft systems are assembled, tested, and delivered to exacting standards.
Assembly & Fabrication
Perform mechanical assembly, wire harnessing, and soldering of aerospace hardware
Apply epoxy bonding and polymeric materials for spaceflight applications
Execute precision torque techniques for fastener installation
Equipment & Process Support
Maintain compliance with ESD, FOD, and 5S standards
Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on electronic equipment
Support discrepancy documentation and resolution efforts
Utilize tools such as Solumina MES, TipQA, Windchill, and CREO View
Integration & Test
Lead and support test configuration setups
Set up, troubleshoot, and repair Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), including test racks and desktop equipment
Assist with cable design and test configuration development
Execute test scripts using Maestro and AstroRT environments
Verify completion of testing events and ensure accurate documentation
Support critical and hazardous operations as required
High School Diploma or technical training equivalent
4–6 years of related experience as a Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Technician
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Hands-on experience with aerospace hardware, harness builds, and soldering
Knowledge of electrical measurements (AC/DC, resistance), voltage circuitry, and troubleshooting
Understanding of clean room operations and spacecraft handling procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
Ability to wear and work in an N95 or higher-grade respirator
Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, waveform generators, and signal analyzers
Familiarity with RF and standard design components (filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers)
Exposure to cryogenic test systems, including dilution refrigeration, 4K cryo-coolers, ADR, or liquid helium immersion
