Summary:
Lead development of the Power Conversion Unit
Assist Electrical Components product engineers with Supplier and product design and manufacturing baselines (e.g., ordnance pin puller, motorized pin actuator & eject interlock, weapon safe and arm eject device)
Support make/buy decisions for products without a designated design agent or manufacturing supplier
Prepare briefing materials for internal and external reviews
Develop and maintain design, analysis, test, and as-built artifacts to support certification/verification
Review and coordinate subcontract or contract data requirement submissions
Support peer reviews, Engineering Review Boards, and product pre-shipment reviews
Participate in Failure Review Board investigations and Material Review Boards for nonconforming material
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and test facilities
Requirements:
Eligible and willing to obtain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field
Electrical/electro-mechanical engineering experience in missile or aerospace systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting Failure Review Boards, including Root Cause and Corrective Action
Desired Skills:
Interest in becoming a Product Responsible Engineer (CPE) or equivalent
Delegated CPE experience or training
Adaptable, self-initiative, problem-solving skills
Support manufacturing, production, and test activities
Participate in major program design reviews (PDR, CDR, MDR, TRR)
Experience with Worst Case Analysis (WCA) and/or Part-Stress Analysis
Knowledge of functional and environmental test methods for missile, launch vehicle, or satellite programs
Technical support for subcontracting and quality nonconforming material disposition
Experienced leading teams through complex engineering/programmatic challenges
Interaction with Navy customers (surface, submarine, or strategic systems)
