Fabrication Specialist Electrical Technician

Step into a hands-on role at the Kennedy Space Center where your electrical expertise will directly support cutting-edge aerospace programs. As a Fabrication Specialist – Electrical Technician, you’ll help build and maintain the systems that make space exploration possible. Your craftsmanship and precision will have a real impact on mission readiness and flight safety.
This is a full-time, 6?month consulting position where you’ll work with advanced avionics, wiring systems, and electrical components that support aerospace structures and flight hardware.
Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday; must be able to work all shifts (training on 1st shift)
Pay Range Starting at: $27.31 per hour
• Perform soldering on electronic and avionics assemblies
• Assemble and install wire harnesses and related electrical systems
• Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various testing operations
• Install, terminate, and troubleshoot wiring and circuits
• Apply organic coatings for corrosion protection and performance requirements
• Work on complex electrical components and systems using established drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and hands?on electrical work
• Experience with wire harness installation
• Proficiency in soldering techniques for electronic or avionics products
• Ability to interpret and follow complex drawings, diagrams, and technical requirements
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical circuits and terminations
• Experience supporting a NASA program
• Clean room environment experience
• Manufacturing experience related to human spaceflight, spaceflight, or aircraft hardware
• Experience inspecting, fabricating, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or related components
