PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aviation leader to hire an innovative and driven Employee Development Specialist. Embedded within a forward-thinking Network and Digital Connectivity organization, you’ll work on a team responsible for workforce strategy—ensuring employees have the right skills at the right time. Your work will directly influence how teams learn, grow, and perform in a fast-evolving, highly technical environment.
What You’ll Do
As an Employee Development Specialist, you will:
Gather and document learning requirements from stakeholders and subject-matter experts (SMEs)
Design and develop engaging course content, instructor guides, learner materials, and assessments
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, scalable learning solutions for engineering audiences
Test and validate learning environments (LMS platforms, virtual classrooms, labs)
Coordinate and support delivery of instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs
Manage logistics for training sessions, assessments, and learner access
Respond to learner and stakeholder questions regarding training processes and tools
Conduct performance needs analysis by collecting data, identifying skill gaps, and recommending solutions
Apply adult learning theory to maximize engagement, retention, and measurable outcomes
Maintain documentation of course materials, versions, and evaluation results
Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, SMEs, and external partners
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in instructional design, training development, or learning coordination for technical audiences
Experience creating and deploying learning materials from concept through implementation
Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or e-learning platforms
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical content
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace, aviation, or other engineering-focused industries
Familiarity with export control or security requirements for global training delivery
Project coordination or project management experience
Advanced degree or certification in instructional design or adult learning
Experience conducting performance needs analysis and coordinating assessments

Pay Details: $39.73 per hour
