Aerospace Product Repair Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday; 1st & 2nd Shifts Available
Pay Rate: $47.78/hr ($42.69/hr + $5.09 H&W)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier aerospace leader to hire an Experienced Aerospace Product Repair/Modifications Technician. In this role, you’ll directly support the C 17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program—work that has a real impact on aircraft readiness, safety and performance.
This is a hands-on, high responsibility position where your technical expertise ensures one of the U.S. Air Force’s most critical aircraft remains flight-worthy and fully mission capable.
As a Product Repair & Modifications Technician, you’ll work under general direction to perform advanced repair and modification functions on the C17 platform. Your responsibilities will include:
Assemble, disassemble or modify systems by removing, replacing or upgrading aircraft components.
Oversee assembly, disassembly and overhaul activities.
Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Identify mechanical or electrical faults and repair or replace defective components.
Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components.
Inspect completed repairs and ensure all work meets flight worthiness standards.
Document repairs, test results, inspections and modifications according to contractual and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with established procedures and safety regulations.
Provide training and guidance as needed to less-experienced technicians.
Support team operations while adhering to strict safety, schedule and quality requirements.
Note:
Regular attendance is required.
Must be able to pass Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physicals.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
3+ years of experience working from heights using fall protection equipment (225 lb. weight limitation applies).
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
3+ years of experience identifying hazardous work conditions and ensuring safety compliance.
3+ years of experience in aircraft repair, maintenance or retrofit processes.
Knowledge of live aircraft operations and support (pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, propulsion).
Minimum of 3 years of C 17 platform experience.
Ability to read and understand C 17 blueprints and USAF Technical Orders.
Experience in multi system maintenance and repair.
Strong ability to work safely within complex schedules while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
High School Diploma/GED and typically 4+ years of related experience,
or vocational school/Associate degree + 2 years of experience,
or a combination of education and experience.
