Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Technician
Location: Haltom City, TX 76137
Type: Full-Time, Consultant (6 months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (8 AM–5 PM)
Pay Rate: $23.04 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a top aerospace industry leader to hire an Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Technician. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a critical part in the inspection, repair and overhaul of aircraft components—ensuring safety, compliance and performance reliability for some of the world’s most important aviation fleets.

As an Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Technician, you’ll perform a wide range of mechanical repair, inspection and component refurbishment tasks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Conduct receiving inspections of incoming assemblies and components according to procedures and technical data.
Perform disassembly, washing, blasting, painting, build-up, pressure testing and final assembly of aircraft components.
Ensure all work complies with customer specifications, airworthiness directives, manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures.
Manually handle and maneuver large aircraft wheels and brakes.
Maintain proper segregation and identification of components throughout repair stages.
Mix and apply primer/paint for component finishing.
Read, interpret and follow component maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
Maintain compliance with FAA and JAA technical requirements as applicable.
Perform general shop and equipment maintenance, following 5S principles to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
Identify non-value-added steps and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Work safely around hazardous waste and follow established guidelines for handling regulated materials.
Participate in FAA-required drug and alcohol testing (14 CFR part 120, 49 CFR part 40).
Continuous standing and walking.
Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
Work performed in a repair and overhaul shop environment.
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience performing mechanical repairs, assembly or similar work (automotive, manufacturing, construction, etc.).
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to interpret and follow component maintenance manuals and relevant technical documents.
Ability to meet FAA safety-sensitive requirements (drug and alcohol testing).
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Previous experience in aircraft component repair, maintenance or overhaul.
Familiarity with FAA technical data, component maintenance manuals and aerospace repair processes.
Experience working in safety sensitive or regulated shop environments.
