PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace pioneer to hire an Electrical Network and Digital Connectivity Engineer. In this role, you will help ensure seamless digital connectivity across multiple aircraft platforms, supporting essential systems such as the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), Corenetwork, Avionics Gateway, Maintenance Access Terminal and more. Your work will directly impact the ability of airlines to access real?time airplane data—critical for safe, efficient and informed flight operations.
You will be part of a collaborative, hands-on engineering team working 100% onsite in Everett, WA, supporting aircraft systems from concept through certification and beyond.
As an Electrical Network and Digital Connectivity Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, validating and supporting advanced digital systems across several aircraft models. Your work will include:
Develop and document moderately complex electrical and electronic system requirements.
Design hardware, software and interface specifications across diverse aircraft architectures.
Translate high level requirements into detailed operational, architectural and integration specifications.
Collaborate with suppliers on hardware, software and interface specification development.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance and seamless system integration.
Validate system designs through lab and airplane testing.
Define and configure lab setups for connectivity system evaluation.
Develop and execute integrated test plans and procedures.
Create software scripts to support or automate testing workflows and analysis.
Troubleshoot fielded hardware and software issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Research emerging technologies to identify opportunities for integration into future programs.
Participate in installation design and certification activities for network and connectivity systems.
Develop operational use cases and performance evaluation strategies.
Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to build architecture mapping and simulation environments.
Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or related field.
5+ years of related experience (or Master’s with 3+ years; PhD with experience).
Proficiency with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
Solid understanding of network, hardware, software systems and technical system architecture.
Experience with systems engineering principles: requirements, functional decomposition, integrated design, verification and evaluation.
Ability to work independently while effectively supporting cross-functional teams.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Knowledge of FAA certification processes.
Experience with system design and integration during aircraft development programs.
Strong troubleshooting ability in both software and hardware aerospace environments.
Experience reading and interpreting software logs and code.
Familiarity with MBSE tools and model-based development practices.
Demonstrated project management skills in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Experience collaborating with cross-organizational stakeholders and customers.
