Electronic/Electrical Design Enginner
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Type: Full-Time, Consultant (3 months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift (12 PM–8 PM)
Pay Rate: $44.50 to $49.50 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the aerospace industry to bring on a highly skilled Electrical Design Technician. In this role, your work directly supports the development, accuracy and safety of cutting-edge aerospace systems. You’ll join a collaborative team where your technical expertise and hands-on abilities will play a critical role in building, validating and improving essential electrical and mechanical systems.
As an Electrical Design Technician, your day-to-day impact will include:
Develop, maintain and release electrical/mechanical drawings, system designs and engineering documentation.
Prepare and update documentation using design tools and incorporate design changes.
Create and modify design layouts; identify and help resolve design discrepancies.
Support engineering in system design and functionality validation.
Plan, conduct and document product tests.
Analyze data from pre-defined packages or original source documentation.
Develop and maintain product installation designs and part designs of simple to moderate complexity.
Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.
Design, build and analyze test systems, components, materials and processes.
Follow government, customer and publication standards for authoring technical materials.
Determine effectivity and applicability for each authoring assignment.
Perform self-checks, mark up illustrations and process updates using established procedures.
Assist in building lab systems, including wire bundles, component installation and system troubleshooting.
Perform assigned production roles to support ongoing operations.
Ensure all systems are installed correctly and operating safely.
Develop solutions to routine technical issues using engineering principles and system knowledge.
Create system theory descriptions and maintenance/repair procedures supporting product reliability and safety.
Training will be provided post-start. This is a technician-focused role; engineer candidates are not being considered for this specific opening.
Electrical background or technical electrical knowledge.
Experience with wire installation.
Education/experience typically includes:
Associate degree + 3 years of relevant experience, or
Bachelor degree + 1 year of relevant experience, or
5 or more years of equivalent hands-on technical experience.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Electrical installation experience in commercial or industrial environments.
