Chipton-Ross is seeking an APG Mechanic for a contract opportunity in Greenville, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Landing gear • Powerplants • Flight controls • Fueling/Defueling • Aircraft movement/Launch & Recovery •6+ Years of recent aircraft experience (fighter preferred but not required). •Aircraft Flightline Experience is highly preferred. preference will be given to candidates with flightline experience
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: •Responsible for incoming and outgoing flight operations, follow on maintenance and routine trouble shooting. •Mechanic will perform/assist with all launch, recovery, preflight/thru flight/Basic Post Flight inspections, ground handling, maintenance, engine runs, operational checkouts, and servicing. •Perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of all electro-mechanical and Pnuedralic systems and components on the aircraft. •Responsible for the acceptableness of all electrical, hydraulic-pneumatic, propulsion, landing gear, flight control surfaces and periodic inspections, general airframe condition, aircraft furnishings and crew escape system of the aircraft. •Will be required to remove panels and associated hardware to obtain access equipment requiring repair.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: •Accredited HSD/GED
WORK HOURS: •Full-Time •4/10 work schedule •Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift. Final shift is assigned after training based of team need •1st Shift - Mon. thru Thurs.; 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM •2nd Shift - Mon. thru Thurs.; 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
