Summary:
Communicate daily with Manufacturing Leadership and Build Management to ensure projects meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Oversee and track efforts between manufacturing and engineering functions to support the build schedule, including tooling, materials, resources, and product definition.
Deliver daily metrics to Manufacturing Leadership and Build Management.
Identify material, tool, or equipment shortages and support scheduling recovery plans in coordination with engineering/manufacturing.
Assist Manufacturing Leadership in tracking and updating the Build Plan for missed milestones or re-sequenced work.
Collaborate with production planning to ensure assembly flow is supported and hardware/materials are delivered on schedule.
Coordinate completion of tasks across manufacturing and Build Management.
Drive safety behavior and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) awareness/prevention; ensure adherence to regulatory protocols and rules.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in a related field (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, or Science), or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
3+ years experience in aircraft fabrication and assembly, or similarly complex aerospace/defense products.
Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, MS Project), manufacturing software, dashboards, and scheduling tools.
Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing functions.
Each Liaison will be assigned to one of three main disciplines: structures, avionics, or systems. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and strong organizational skills are required.
Advanced Excel skills are particularly important.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
Technical knowledge of component assembly, including subassembly and top-level assembly.
Understanding of the relationship between schedule, quality, and budget.
Working knowledge of configuration management and quality management processes.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead through influence.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and commercial acumen to measure the impact of decisions.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies (Kaizen/Six Sigma).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Ability to set clear objectives and milestones.
Clear and transparent communication skills.
Lead by example in safety, good housekeeping, tool accountability, and responsible handling of hazardous materials.
