Location: Savannah, GA | Schedule: $80.52/hour | Schedule: 2nd shift 3pm to 12am
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier aerospace leader to find a highly experienced Mechanical Systems MRB Engineer ready to tackle complex engineering challenges. In this role, you’ll work on critical aircraft systems and lead solutions that directly impact safety, performance, and production—bringing advanced ideas to life where engineering precedent may not exist.
Your Impact
This is a high-level engineering role where your decisions matter. You’ll lead the resolution of complex nonconformances, influence engineering standards, and develop innovative solutions that keep aircraft programs on track—balancing technical excellence, cost, and schedule.
What You’ll Do
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Lead and manage engineering projects of significant complexity within defined scope
Serve as a technical authority, making decisions that impact large-scale engineering activities
Analyze and resolve complex mechanical system discrepancies through MRB (Material Review Board) processes
Develop innovative repair solutions and engineering dispositions for nonconforming parts and systems
Apply advanced engineering principles across multiple aircraft mechanical systems
Investigate issues where little or no precedent exists and develop effective solutions
Optimize product performance, cost, and production schedules through improved methods and procedures
Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and design teams
Develop engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices
Lead technical problem-solving efforts and mentor other engineers
Work independently under consultative direction to achieve program objectives
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
13+ years of experience in a specific technical discipline OR 15+ years of broad engineering experience across multiple disciplines
Deep expertise in aircraft mechanical systems such as:
Powerplant
Flight Controls
Landing Gear
Hydraulics (components and lines)
Environmental Control Systems
Fuel, Oxygen, Water & Waste systems
Equipment & furnishings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex engineering challenges
Proven ability to work independently and make high-impact technical decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or related field
MRB experience or extensive troubleshooting experience in aircraft mechanical systems
Experience across multiple aircraft systems
Demonstrated ability to lead innovation and develop new engineering concepts
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Willingness and ability to expand expertise across multiple systems
