Computing Architect
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace organization to hire a Computing Architect in Oklahoma City, OK. As a Computing Architect, you will support the C 17 team by helping design, maintain, and enhance the computing environments that power avionics development, testing, and qualification work. Your contributions will help solve unique logistical challenges, strengthen system integrity, and support advanced aerospace capabilities used across the world.
Job Title: Computing Architect
Job Type: Full Time; Consultant (12 month assignment)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate:Starting at $67.54 per hour
Maintain and update server environments to ensure stability and performance.
Manage and support established network infrastructure.
Ensure systems remain compliant with required cybersecurity patches and security protocols.
Design and maintain robust backup strategies to safeguard data integrity.
Integrate VPN and LabNet equipment/protocols for secure connectivity and lab operations.
Support architecture documentation, requirement gathering, and solution assessments.
Assist in creating and maintaining architecture models and technical views.
Help evaluate new tools, products, and technologies for potential integration into the computing environment.
Partner with software development teams to incorporate architectural considerations into the full development lifecycle.
2+ years of experience with Red Hat and Linux systems.
2+ years of experience with Windows systems.
2+ years administering and maintaining server systems.
2+ years following and applying cybersecurity protocols.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Familiarity with STIG, SCAP, or NESSUS security tools.
Experience with LabNet environments.
Experience creating system backups, images, and recovery solutions.
Advanced technical education (Master’s, PhD, or equivalent experience).
