Aerospace Products Repair/Modification Technician
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Aerospace Products Repair/Modification Technician to join our team in partnership with a leading aerospace organization. In this role, you will assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and modify aerospace vehicle components to ensure proper operation, flight worthiness, and compliance with technical standards. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining and upgrading systems that support critical missions at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Job Type: Full Time; Consultant (6 month assignment)
Location: Seymour Johnson AFB, NC 27531
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $36.60 per hour
Assemble, disassemble, modify, and upgrade aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement system changes.
Oversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul processes.
Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment for operational needs.
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify mechanical or electrical faults and repair components.
Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components.
Document procedures, repairs, test results, and inspection outcomes to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
Inspect components and verify repairs meet flight worthiness standards.
Oversee and support training initiatives within the team.
Work under general direction while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety protocols.
High school diploma/GED and 4+ years of related aerospace repair or modification experience, or equivalent technical education plus experience.
Hands-on experience performing repairs, system modifications, or component upgrades within aerospace environments.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with documentation, inspection processes, and regulatory compliance procedures.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Vocational school or Associate degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and training.
Prior experience performing system validation/verification testing.
Experience supporting training or mentoring within technical teams.
