Quality Inspector

Job Type: Full Time; Consultant (12 months)
Location: Hopkinton, MA 01748
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 9x80 schedule
Pay Rate: $32.07 per hour
Inspect materials, components, and final assemblies from both internal manufacturing and external suppliers.
Perform physical inspections and document dimensional compliance using standard metrology tools.
Verify products meet drawings, work instructions, and quality acceptance criteria.
Review vendor certifications and test data for compliance.
Generate and support First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
Assist with customer source inspections.
Calibrate tooling, gauges, and measuring equipment or coordinate with external providers.
Utilize various inspection techniques such as:
Visual inspections
Height gauges, gage pins, thread gages
Calipers, micrometers, dial indicators
Functional gages and instant measuring systems
Support corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain quality flow and production readiness.
Work overtime or in other manufacturing areas as needed.
High school diploma or GED (education will be verified).
Minimum 4 years of inspection experience in aerospace or a similar technical field.
Skilled in reading technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and inspection procedures.
Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Self starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Associate degree in a physical science or manufacturing related discipline.
Experience with CNC machined parts manufacturing and inspection.
Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 quality management systems.
Exposure to passive microwave components and antenna products.
