Chipton-Ross is seeking a Final Assembly Mechanic for a contract opportunity in Torrance, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): •Ability to read and comprehend Company Quality •Manual, Operating Procedures Manual and Repair •Station Manuals, Assembly Orders, blueprints, •Robinson Process Specifications (RPS) and Regulatory (FAA) requirements. •Good knowledge of tools and measuring equipment. •Related work history
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: •Mechanics build components and determine dimensions and torques using calipers, torque wrenches and other measuring equipment. Mechanics use testing equipment such as OHM meters and pyrometers and various bench testing appliances. Mechanics may use solvent washing tanks to clean parts prior to assembly, and apply paints, primers or coatings to the finished product.
•Install engine accessories i.e., alternator, oil coolers, lines and ducting onto turbine and piston engines. •Muffler assemblies; oil system assemblies; fan wheels; push-pull tube assemblies; pitch link. •Bell-crank assemblies; heater and a/c components; gearbox assemblies; fuel tank assemblies. •Hydraulic assemblies; flight controls assemblies; tail cones. •Other small components using rivets, nuts and bolts or screws and safety wire.
