PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Product Review Engineer for a 12 month consulting assignment supporting one of the most advanced aerospace manufacturing facilities in the world. Based in North Charleston, SC, this role places you at the heart of production—solving issues, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring the integrity of every aircraft that leaves the factory floor.
This is a high impact opportunity for a seasoned engineer who thrives on tackling complex nonconformances, developing corrective actions, and collaborating across multiple engineering and manufacturing disciplines.
Location: North Charleston, SC 29418
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift (7am–3pm) or 2nd shift (3pm–11pm)
Overtime: ~10% expected
Pay Range: Starting at $85.77 per hour
As a Product Review Engineer, you will be a critical member of the Liaison Engineering organization, responsible for evaluating, resolving, and dispositioning nonconforming parts, assemblies, and systems. You will apply engineering judgment, FAA aligned design principles, and cross functional teamwork to ensure aircraft meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Your work directly influences production efficiency, compliance, and the long term reliability of aircraft operating worldwide.
Apply engineering and design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
Perform root cause analysis and develop engineering dispositions for nonconforming parts, systems, and assemblies.
Investigate discrepancies involving electrical systems, structures, functional testing, thermal/chemical processes, raw materials, assemblies, installations, and more.
Serve as an engineering representative on the Material Review Board (MRB), addressing concerns from production, quality, and engineering teams.
Evaluate data from production lines to determine corrective actions and prevent chronic or recurring issues.
Review and approve design revisions to improve manufacturability and production processes.
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to implement sustainable corrective actions.
Review and audit MRB activities for domestic and international suppliers as needed.
Demonstrate innovative thinking in process improvement and engineering solutions.
Must meet Export Control compliance requirements (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
ABET accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
Ability and willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Current or prior Materials Review Board (MRB) authority or experience.
Experience working on production aircraft or in a complex manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to collaborate with multi disciplinary teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
