Summary:
Create detailed work instructions for fabrication, installation, and modification of avionics and electrical subsystems
Develop engineering drawings and documentation (section views, detail views, flag notes) to industry standards
Define step-by-step manufacturing processes and identify alternate part numbers
Redline and maintain released engineering documentation
Generate tooling documentation and support shop setup activities
Act as liaison engineer to support technicians on the shop floor
Troubleshoot documentation issues and provide real-time production support
Source and procure electrical components based on engineering documentation
Support shop layout, setup, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support avionics design, integration, and testing efforts
Troubleshoot electrical and avionics ground test issues
Develop test plans and procedures
Contribute to integration of complex aerospace systems
Analyze engineering requirements for producibility, cost, and schedule
Develop and document electrical manufacturing processes and best practices
Implement aerospace industry standards
Create shop aids and desktop documentation to improve workflows
Support process standardization and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements:
Education & Experience
Level I: Bachelor s + 0 2 years experience
Level II: Bachelor s + 2 5 years experience
Sr Level: Bachelor s + 5 10 years experience
Staff Level: Bachelor s + 10 20 years experience
Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered
Experience in one or more: electrical engineering, avionics, aircraft or launch vehicle integration
Experience with aerospace production documentation (drawings, work orders)
Familiarity with PDM systems, revision control, and engineering release processes
Hands-on experience with aircraft electrical system installation
Knowledge of aerospace hardware (connectors, relays, wiring)
Experience creating shop work instructions
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
Lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators
Familiarity with 3D CAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Travel is minimal (
