Customer Relations Specialist — Elevate the Customer Experience in a Fast Moving Aerospace Environment
Location: Wichita, KS
Type: Full-Time, 4 Month Consultant Contract (Potential Contract to Hire)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:00 PM
Pay Range: $32–$35 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Customer Relations Specialist to support a leading aerospace organization by ensuring exceptional customer experiences across high visibility events, aftermarket support, and mission critical operations. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, brand reputation, and the smooth operation of the flying fleet.
This role is ideal for a detail oriented, customer focused professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys collaborating across teams, customers, and executive leadership.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive customer relations and operational support, ensuring flawless execution of customer engagements and aftermarket service activities, including:
Ensure outstanding service delivery during customer visits, trade shows, air shows, conferences, product demos, and special events.
Coordinate agendas, manage logistics, and oversee promotional item distribution.
Support senior management during customer-facing activities and ensure adherence to schedule, budgets, and commitments.
Utilize quoting software to support aftermarket quoting requirements.
Determine production status, review system data for replacement parts, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on spare configurations.
Make informed make/buy decisions for spares and administrate quotes through completion.
Liaison on AOG and spares requests for critical fleet support.
Act as the primary interface between customers and executive management.
Support marketing goals and program objectives by aligning event execution and customer commitments with corporate standards.
Ensure compliance with customer ethics guidelines and internal company policies.
Minimum 5 years of customer service experience, preferably in a technical or aerospace-focused environment.
Strong detail orientation with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience working with quoting systems
Ability to interpret production data and collaborate on make/buy decisions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work the assigned schedule (7:30 AM or 8:00 AM start time).
Aerospace industry experience or a degree combined with customer service experience.
Experience supporting AOG or aftermarket operations.
Prior exposure to event coordination, senior leadership support, or logistics management.
A track record of strong performance suitable for contract-to-hire consideration.
