Schedule: Monday–Friday; Ability to work any shift as needed
• 1st Shift: 6:00am–4:30pm
• 2nd Shift: 4:30pm–3:00am
Pay Range starting at : $41.41 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanic to support a major leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you’ll be hands-on in building, modifying, and repairing structural assemblies that directly support critical aerospace programs. Your expertise will contribute to high precision manufacturing that keeps aircraft safe, reliable, and mission ready.
In this position, you will perform advanced structural assembly and modification work on aircraft components such as fuselage panels, bulkheads, ribs, spars, skins, stabilizers, and more. Daily responsibilities include:
Performing precision drilling, riveting, fitting, and alignment on major assemblies and subassemblies.
Using templates, fixtures, and jigs to ensure accurate placement and alignment of structural components.
Completing tasks such as filing, sawing, trimming, burring, reaming, and framing on metal and composite parts.
Reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical orders.
Conducting dimensional checks using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
Incorporating engineering changes into completed and in-progress assemblies.
Troubleshooting structural issues and guiding lower-level technicians as needed.
Working safely in confined spaces, at heights, and with hazardous materials while following all shop control and PPE requirements.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering blueprints.
Experience performing complex structural repairs and modifications independently.
Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Hands-on experience with materials such as aluminum and composites.
Ability to comprehend engineering requirements and apply them accurately.
Capability to mentor junior technicians as required.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Extensive sheet metal and structural assembly experience, including composite materials.
Experience serving as a lead technician or guiding teams.
Strong background in bonding practices, structural repair manuals, and aerospace materials.
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift 25–50 lbs.
