Description:
What You’ll Do
Create and maintain network architecture diagrams and infrastructure layouts using Visio and/or CAD tools
Develop detailed drawings for:
As-built and future-state network designs
Fiber infrastructure, OSP pathways, and conduit layouts
Power systems, UPS infrastructure, and electrical distribution
Update and validate drawings based on:
Fiber and power infrastructure surveys
Wi-Fi and general network assessments
Document infrastructure across multiple U.S. Air Force bases
Consolidate survey findings and engineering designs into Technical Refresh documentation
Provide accurate design documentation to support engineering, deployment, and implementation teams
Ensure designs align with network architecture standards and field conditions
Required Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience in network infrastructure or design engineering
Experience with Visio and/or CAD tools for:
Network architecture diagrams
Fiber infrastructure and OSP layouts
Power and electrical infrastructure design
Strong experience translating field survey data into clean, accurate engineering drawings
Experience with fiber infrastructure, including fiber splicing and fiber testing
Knowledge of network switching infrastructure and system design
Experience supporting Wi-Fi or RF-related infrastructure environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting DoD or military network infrastructure environments
Familiarity with large-scale network modernization or technical refresh projects
Experience documenting multi-site network deployments
