Description:
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Software Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced missile guidance and flight control systems.
This role focuses on developing high-fidelity simulations and real-time flight software, with an emphasis on 6-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) modeling, guidance algorithms, autopilot design, and missile flight dynamics.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and validate algorithms and simulation tools that support missile performance throughout all phases of flight and mission execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, verify, and test GNC algorithms for missile systems
Develop and maintain 6-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) simulation models used to design and validate missile flight software
Utilize simulation environments to evaluate system performance and mission effectiveness
Design and analyze missile flight dynamics, including guidance laws and autopilot development
Implement guidance and control algorithms into real-time missile flight software
Develop navigation algorithms using statistical processing of sensor and measurement data
Create guidance equations to achieve desired missile trajectory, orientation, and targeting accuracy
Support control system design and analysis, including control law development and system requirements
Participate in algorithm verification, validation, and performance assessments
Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineering teams to ensure successful system integration
Document technical designs, analyses, and test results according to engineering standards
