Pay Rate:Starting at  $38.40 per hour
 


About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Support Engineering Data Specialist to join our team partnering with a leader in the aviation industry. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing high-quality technical publications that directly support the maintenance, operation, and sustainment of complex aviation systems. Your work ensures technicians and operators have accurate, compliant, and user-friendly materials essential to mission readiness and operational success.

This position is ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of engineering, data analysis, and technical documentation.


What You’ll Do

• Develop clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical orders based on engineering data and specifications.
• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, test results, and various technical data sources.
• Ensure all technical orders align with required formats, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineers, SMEs, program teams, and end users to validate technical content.
• Utilize document authoring tools and specialized software to create and maintain publications.
• Review, edit, and conduct peer quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate inputs to meet publishing deadlines.
• Maintain current knowledge of military and industry standards related to technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and clarification to users of technical orders when required.


Required Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in aircraft mission maintenance, mission operations, training systems, or ground systems.
• 4 years of experience working with E6, E3, E4B, C32, C40 or similar mission aircraft.
• 4 years of experience using and applying technical publications effectively.
•Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               


Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher.
• Experience with document authoring tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext, or similar TO development software.
• Familiarity with specialized technical publication platforms.


Education / Experience Requirements

Education and experience typically acquired through:
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience, or
• Master’s degree and 1+ year of related experience, or
• 7+ years of directly related industry experience.

Pay Details: $38.40 per hour
