We are seeking a skilled Power BI Reporting & SQL Analyst to support enterprise-level reporting initiatives. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards and data models, ensure reporting consistency, respond to ad hoc data needs, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

This position requires strong SQL skills, a deep understanding of Power BI fundamentals, and the ability to translate business requirements into high-quality reporting solutions that align with brand and governance standards.


Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development & Management

  • Design and develop dashboards, scorecards, and interactive/paginated reports.

  • Enhance existing reports with new visuals, performance improvements, and additional measures.

  • Follow best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and usability.

  • Manage the end?to?end report lifecycle: requirements ? development ? validation ? deployment ? support.

  • Configure and manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, permissions, and deployment pipelines.

SQL Querying & Data Retrieval

  • Write optimized SQL queries, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations.

  • Execute ad hoc queries and produce insights for leadership, operations, and analytics teams.

  • Validate data accuracy across source systems and Power BI datasets.

Data Quality, Governance & Documentation

  • Ensure transparent and traceable KPIs, business rules, and metric definitions.

  • Maintain data dictionaries, report specifications, and user documentation.

  • Support data quality checks and collaborate with data owners to resolve discrepancies.

Brand Standards & Reporting Consistency

  • Align all reporting outputs with organizational brand standards (fonts, colors, layout, terminology).

  • Enforce standard templates and design patterns across reports.

  • Improve clarity, accessibility, and end?user experience through thoughtful report design.

Stakeholder Collaboration & End?User Support

  • Gather requirements and provide guidance on metrics and reporting needs.

  • Conduct end?user training on report functionality (filters, drill paths, subscriptions).

  • Troubleshoot report issues and coordinate solutions when source data changes or systems update.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports in a professional environment.

  • Strong SQL proficiency, including experience writing complex queries.

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

  • Proficiency creating DAX measures and working with data models.

  • Ability to convert business questions into actionable reporting solutions.

  • Strong data validation skills and meticulous documentation habits.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data warehouses/lakes or ELT/ETL tools (SSMS, Azure, Snowflake, etc.).

  • Understanding of performance optimization, including model size reduction and incremental refresh.

  • Familiarity with data governance practices and metric standardization.

  • Fleet industry experience is a plus.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $62.50 per hour
