Pay Rate: Starting at $31.90 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Must be available for all shifts

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Aircraft Interior Specialist (Level C) to support a major aerospace leader in North Charleston, SC. In this highly skilled role, you will apply your craftsmanship and technical expertise to repair, install, and perfect interior components across various stages of aircraft production. Your work ensures that every aircraft delivered meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and passenger comfort.
As an Aircraft Interior Specialist, you will leverage your experience and advanced training to perform high-precision cosmetic and structural interior work. Your responsibilities will include:
Perform decorative interior repair on fiberglass, plastics, composites, and specialty materials using painting, sweep-and-fill, and similar techniques.
Interpret technical instructions, blueprints, drawings, and electronic specifications to select correct tools, materials, and hardware.
Apply solvents, adhesives, coatings, sealants, primers, paints, and high-quality finishes.
Execute surface preparation, cleaning, masking, and cosmetic rework including texture and color matching.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex, non standard interior issues requiring interpretation of processes.
Operate mechanical lifts and use tools such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdrivers, multimeters, and continuity testers.
Maintain high standards of safety and quality, ensuring compliance with all required certifications and regulatory guidelines.
Uphold strict Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
Work independently with limited direction while collaborating professionally with internal teams and external partners.
Work in elevated or confined spaces, indoor controlled environments, and outdoor environments as needed.
Meet physical demands including standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, crawling, lifting 10–35 lbs., and performing tasks around energized systems.
Successfully complete 8–10 weeks of foundational training plus one week of color match training.
High school diploma/GED; vocational school or Associate-level education acceptable.
3–5+ years of aerospace, manufacturing, or fabrication experience involving decorative finishes (paints, laminates, plastics, vinyls).
Experienced in adjustments, repair, replacement, and calibration of aircraft interiors.
Skilled in file, sand, paint, decorative laminate (“declam”), and cosmetic rework including precise color/texture matching.
Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on business needs.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and drawings in English.
Ability to work with high hazard chemicals using provided PPE.
Ability to complete and maintain required certifications (Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc.).
Must pass onsite color vision screening after onboarding.
Ability to meet all listed physical demands.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
7+ years related work experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
7+ years aerospace, manufacturing, or military experience.
Advanced experience in cabin interiors (galleys, lavatories, stowage, premium seating, liners, etc.).
