Configuration & Data Management Technician
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Configuration and Data Management Technician to support a major aerospace organization in Renton, WA. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and control of technical data and product baselines throughout the full lifecycle of highly complex aerospace systems.
As a Configuration and Data Management Technician, you will oversee and guide the development, analysis, and verification of product and process baselines for advanced aerospace programs. Your work ensures seamless integration across engineering, hardware, software, and systems—supporting certification, compliance, and successful delivery of industry leading products.
This role offers the opportunity to manage high visibility technical processes, influence major design reviews, and lead configuration and data management activities that shape next generation aerospace solutions.
• Lead the development, analysis, management, and verification of configuration and product baselines for highly integrated systems.
• Define, plan, and coordinate comprehensive technical design reviews and audits at product and subsystem levels.
• Analyze complex product trades, evaluate changes, and develop formal change proposals.
• Implement and uphold Configuration and Data Management standards, tools, and processes.
• Define, allocate, and maintain CM and DM requirements for hardware, software, and engineering data systems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure proper integration of product elements and resolve complex issues within engineering product structures.
• Develop, integrate, and execute engineering technical program plans.
• Work independently with minimal direction, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance in support of a highly collaborative environment.
• Experience with ODA (Organization Designation Authorization) procedures.
• Experience working with airplane systems and/or certification processes.
• Strong experience with project management and self managing complex technical assignments.
• Education/Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, chemistry, or related technical field plus 9+ years of experience,
– OR Master’s + 7 years,
– OR PhD + 4 years,
– OR equivalent technical education and experience.
• ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift (7:00 AM–4:00 PM; start/end time flexible)
• Pay Rate Starting at : $69.24 per hour
• Work Environment: Onsite, non managerial, highly technical role
• Background in complex aerospace product development environments.
• Experience leading or supporting large-scale technical design reviews.
• Strong analytical and data management skills with familiarity in engineering data systems.
