About the Role

This is a high‑level engineering leadership position—not a general project management role. As the Project Engineering Manager, you will own engineering execution for large Balance‑of‑Plant (BOP) projects from contract signature through project closeout. You’ll collaborate with global engineering hubs, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure technical excellence across every phase of project delivery.

Home Base: Eastern Time Zone preferred, but not required
Pay Rate: $66.42/hour

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the technical scope, planning, scheduling, and engineering execution across assigned customer projects.

  • Manage cross‑functional engineering teams, ensuring alignment on requirements, risks, and deliverables.

  • Review customer specifications and communicate contract obligations to design, sourcing, and technical teams.

  • Assess financial and schedule impacts of scope changes and customer requests.

  • Provide expert guidance to engineering, sourcing, vendors, and field installation teams.

  • Resolve complex technical issues across product lines and drive integrated solutions.

  • Enforce and improve quality processes, ensuring all work meets customer and compliance requirements.

  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement efforts across engineering functions.

  • Collaborate with global engineering centers including Belfort, Baden, Noida, Queretaro, Greenville, and others.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.

  • Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible engineering experience.

  • Experience communicating directly with customers and internal partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in energy, power generation, turbomachinery, generators, controls, or large mechanical/electrical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of engineering codes, compliance, and industry best practices.

  • Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.

  • Experience working in matrixed, multi‑site engineering organizations.

  • Strong analytical thinking, creativity, and continuous‑improvement mindset.
