Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Summary:
Develop and maintain mechanical and structural engineering drawings, assemblies, and installations using CAD tools.
Apply knowledge of design product structure, including details, parts, assemblies, and installations.
Support manufacturing processes with designs suitable for machining and fabrication of metallic components.
Utilize CATIA or equivalent solid modeling software for 3D modeling and design updates.
Use Integrated Visualization Tools (IVT) for design reviews, configuration management, and visualization of assemblies.
Collaborate with multiple organizations to coordinate design requirements and project timelines.
Apply problem-solving and investigative skills to address design-related issues.
Assist in project management tasks, tracking projects at various stages and coordinating with multiple teams.
Support liaison engineering activities as needed to facilitate communication between design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in drafting, mechanical, or structural design.
Typical experience in drafting classifications, including basic CAD usage.
Understanding of design product structures, including parts, assemblies, and installations.
Knowledge of machining processes for metallic components.
3+ years of experience in aerospace design, including work with detail and assembly parts.
Proficiency in CATIA or equivalent solid modeling software.
Experience using Integrated Visualization Tools (IVT).
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Project management experience supporting projects at various stages and coordinating with multiple organizations.
Prior liaison engineering experience.
