Manufacturing Engineer IV
Pay: $62.59
Schedule: 1st Shift (8–5, 8:30–5:30, or 9–6)
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer IV to help drive advanced CNC and EDM innovation for a global leader in the energy industry. If you’re passionate about precision machining, fast‑hole EDM, and bringing manufacturing excellence to life on the shop floor, this is a role where your expertise will make a direct impact.
Step into a technical leadership role supporting complex, high‑precision manufacturing. You will:
Develop, update, and maintain CNC programs using NX‑CAM across multi‑axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
Lead fast‑hole EDM and small‑hole drilling programming and process optimization.
Validate CNC programs using Vericut before release.
Provide hands‑on troubleshooting, operator support, and machining guidance on the production floor.
Define tooling and fixturing requirements and drive fixture improvements.
Create clear workstation instructions and CNC‑related process documentation.
Lead projects that improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and production teams.
Champion continuous improvement and support the integration of new technology.
Bachelor’s, Associate’s, OR Machinist Apprenticeship with 3+ years of CNC programming (graphical CAM)
OR
High School Diploma with 6+ years of graphical CAM CNC programming
Strong experience with CNC machining (milling, turning, grinding, or EDM)
Ability to work full-time on‑site in Saratoga Springs, NY
Comfortable supporting operators directly on the shop floor
Siemens NX CAM 1953+
Fast‑hole EDM drilling expertise
Toolpath development & helper geometry creation
FANUC Macro B (probing, tool selection, logic creation, data capture)
Familiarity with 3‑2‑1 nesting and probing routines
Understanding of CMM/metrology fundamentals
Ability to apply trigonometry and matrix rotations in G‑code
Experience with Vericut or other simulation tools
Strong blueprint interpretation and shop math
Experience machining high‑temperature superalloys (HDGT/aerospace)
Exposure to multiple CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Siemens)
