Summary:
Develop and maintain detailed and assembly-level designs for aerospace components and systems.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to ensure accuracy of design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, test, and liaison engineering, to ensure designs meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Perform design checks and validations to ensure assemblies conform to dimensional, functional, and safety requirements.
Support design reviews, provide feedback, and document discrepancies or design improvement recommendations.
Create and update CAD models and technical drawings using CATIA or equivalent solid modeling tools
Requirements:
Associate degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ years of experience in aerospace design, including work with detail parts, assemblies, and installations.
Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) tools with a basic understanding of design product structures.
Experience in machining of metallic parts.
Solid modeling experience using CATIA or an equivalent CAD tool.
Experience with Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) for design review and visualization.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage projects across various stages.
Experience coordinating with multiple teams and organizations.
Prior experience in Liaison Engineering or related roles.
Project management experience within aerospace design environments.
