Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Training: 8 10 weeks OJT/classroom; 3 failed assessments may result in release

Summary:
Set up and operate machinery for machining, welding, tube bending, sheet metal, and extrusion work.
Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
Assemble, repair, modify, and install power plants, drive trains, wire harnesses, and avionics components.
Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various tests.
Apply organic chemical conversions and coatings per specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Use conventional hand, power, and pneumatic tools, and perform precision measuring.
Follow safety protocols, including fall protection and confined space requirements.
Successfully complete training and assessments to ensure competency.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
1+ year of experience in a technical, mechanical, or manufacturing/fabrication role.
Ability to lift 10 35 lbs and meet physical demands including bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing, crawling, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and basic software applications.
Ability to read and apply mathematical calculations, drawings, and specifications in English.
Ability to work variable shifts as required.
Conventional material layup and composite handling.
CNC machine experience.
Precision measuring and use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
Experience interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and material specifications.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
