JOB TITLE: Production Assembly Technician Light Technical Support
LOCATION: Portland, OR
PAY RATE: $30-35/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

    Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Assemble and test electro-mechanical products according to work instructions and specifications

    Operate simple software-driven test tools to validate product functionality

    Document assembly and testing results accurately

    Package and ship completed products for domestic and international orders

    Support receiving and inventory control for inventory and non-inventory materials

    Process work orders (WOs) and perform transactions in the company ERP system

    Perform product repairs, modifications, or overhauls on returned units to manufacturing specifications

    Evaluate returned units and assist with estimating repair requirements

    Maintain inventory accuracy and follow company procedures for materials handling

    Follow company policies, procedures, and quality standards

Requirements:

    Associate s degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

    5+ years of experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment as a Production Assembler or Technician

    Experience with inventory control, receiving, and shipping in an ITAR/export-controlled environment

    Ability to assemble, test, and document production work accurately

    Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

    Ability to follow standard operating procedures and technical documentation

    Comfortable working with basic software-based testing tools

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

    High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism

    Ability to stand, stoop, and climb

    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally

    Movement between departments, floors, and work areas

    May involve working around equipment, crawling, or working outdoors

    Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
