Finance Support Specialist – Keep Critical Aerospace Operations Running with Accurate Cash Management

Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18 - $ 23.50/Hour

About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Finance Support Specialist to join a leading organization in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will support cash application processes that are essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely flow of revenue. Your work will directly impact financial accuracy, customer account integrity, and overall business performance.

What You’ll Do

• Accurately post incoming bank transactions including ACH, wire transfers, EFTs, checks, and credit card payments.

• Research unidentified payments and resolve money on account items.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and validate that cash postings match financial records.

• Balance daily cash receipts and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.

• Review bank statements and apply payments to the correct customer accounts.

• Monitor financial transactions for compliance with company policies, contractual commitments, and regulatory guidelines.

• Identify financial or contractual risks and escalate as appropriate.

• Maintain documentation of financial transactions and exercise signature authority as required.

• Support cross functional teams and provide operational guidance to peers, programs, business units, and management.

• Prioritize and manage a high volume of detailed financial tasks in a fast paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in cash applications or related finance functions.

• Experience working with high transactional volume and multi currency environments.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, filters, linking worksheets).

• SAP experience (required).

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem solving skills.

• Experience working with cross functional teams.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

• Working knowledge of accounting theory or financial principles.

• Experience with S/4HANA (a plus).
