Assembler – Build Precision Components for Next Generation Aerospace Systems

Location: Bethpage, NY
Type: Full-Time | Consultant (12 Month Contract)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | First Shift, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate Starting at : $29.78 per hour

About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Assembler to support a leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will contribute directly to the production of mechanical and electronic assemblies that power modern aerospace technology. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will help ensure the reliability, performance, and safety of critical aerospace components used in mission driven environments.

What You’ll Do

• Perform both repetitive and non repetitive assembly work on electronic and mechanical subassemblies including modules, boards, panels, frames, cables, and more.

• Interpret diagrams, drawings, and digital work instructions to execute accurate assembly layouts.

• Use hand and power tools, jigs, saws, and other equipment to assemble components.

• Conduct continuity checks and quality verifications during and after assembly.

• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype or experimental assemblies as required.

• Follow established processes and quality standards to ensure product integrity.

• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve assembly issues and ensure efficient workflow.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 10 years of related experience in aircraft or similar assembly environments.

• Experience working with hardware such as nuts, bolts, rivets, and other fasteners.

• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to read and interpret both 2D and 3D drawings on a computer.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating milling machines and/or lathes.

• Basic understanding of installing various bushings.

• Previous work involving experimental, prototype, or advanced assemblies.
