Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay Rate starting at : $21.57 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Assembler to support a leading aerospace organization. This hands on role plays a vital part in building, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and structural assemblies used in cutting edge aerospace products. You will work with a variety of materials, components, tools, and technical data—directly contributing to the precision and performance of advanced aerospace systems.
Fabricate and assemble mechanical structures using standard hand and power tools, precision instruments, and calibrated equipment.
Perform installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of components and structural assemblies.
Execute work based on drawings, work orders, computer models, processes, and procedures.
Install fasteners, hardware, wiring, tubing, and composite or metallic components.
Maintain accurate buyoffs, inspection records, and documentation for completed work and non conformances.
Work closely with engineers to provide feedback, suggest design improvements, and support process enhancements.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, quality requirements, and configuration control standards.
Support mechanical build activities, including drill outs, bonding, fastener installation, wire harness tasks, and heavy structure assembly.
Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance, machine trades, or manufacturing technologies.
Experience working with composites, titanium, sheet metal, riveting, fastening, wiring, tubing, and basic machining.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical data (2D & 3D).
Proficiency using tools such as torque wrenches, countersinks, drills, deburring tools, and other calibrated equipment.
Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
A&P certification or specialty training.
Experience installing bushings or performing precision mechanical installations.
Previous work in aerospace assembly or prototype/experimental builds.
