About the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Quality Researcher / Inspector to support a leading aerospace organization at the Hartford Service Center. In this critical role, you will research maintenance requirements, inspect aircraft for airworthiness, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the maintenance and return?to?service process.
Your work directly contributes to safe aircraft operations, accurate aircraft configuration records, and high?quality customer service. This position is ideal for individuals with strong aerospace maintenance backgrounds who thrive in detail?oriented, investigative, and safety?critical environments.
What You’ll Do
Research & Documentation
Research and capture all maintenance program requirements, including Inspection Programs, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
Build comprehensive and accurate records of requirements for specific aircraft models.
Review all maintenance documentation and conduct aircraft inspections to validate aircraft configuration.
Organize findings into detailed reports for customer delivery.
Quality Inspection & Airworthiness
Support Quality Inspectors as needed and perform aircraft return?to?service duties when assigned.
Verify that all work packages, forms, maintenance actions, and corrective measures are accurately documented.
Conduct walk?around inspections and ensure all airworthiness criteria are met before releasing aircraft.
Ensure regulatory paperwork (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) is complete and approved.
Operational & Technical Support
Use measuring tools, test equipment, and hand tools to perform inspections and validate work.
Train, coach, and mentor team members in areas of qualification.
Provide data to customers as required.
Support internal and external audits by demonstrating compliant processes and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience (corporate or commercial jet).
1+ year of experience on aircraft.
1+ year of aircraft Quality Inspector experience.
Ability to interpret and apply regulatory documents (FAR, CAA, AD, SB, CFR, TCDS, etc.).
Proficiency with measuring tools, test equipment, and basic hand tools.
Strong communication skills in written and verbal English.
Working knowledge of software tools such as Excel, Access, Word, SAP, Quality Maintenance Tracking, AMS, and general internet applications.
Thorough understanding of return?to?service procedures and SAP programs.

Pay Details: $39.00 to $48.00 per hour
