Pay Rate Starting at : $49.87  per hour
Work Environment: Fully onsite, factory-floor support

About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Mid-Career Liaison Engineer to support a major leader in the aerospace industry. This hands-on engineering role is essential to transforming design intent into real-world production. You’ll partner closely with manufacturing teams, troubleshoot engineering challenges in real time, and ensure aircraft components are built safely, efficiently, and to specification.

This is a high-impact opportunity for engineers who enjoy working directly on the factory floor, solving complex technical issues, and influencing product quality and performance.

What You’ll Do

As a Liaison Engineer, you will serve as the primary engineering representative within the production environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing and resolving production non-conformances, including root cause investigations and engineering dispositions.
• Applying design and engineering principles to address product and process issues throughout the lifecycle.
• Researching technical, operational, and quality concerns to develop final engineering solutions.
• Identifying and documenting deviations that may affect design intent or safety, and managing resolution.
• Developing and implementing product and process improvements.
• Supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.
• Representing engineering from initial build through production and post?production phases.
• Ensuring suppliers and build partners meet engineering standards.
• Preparing customer-facing engineering correspondence to support safe operation and maintenance.
• Participating in on-site repair teams, accident investigation support, and technical response efforts.
• Performing structural analyses for damage repair or modification, including jacking, shoring, and static strength evaluations.
• Designing interim structural repairs.
• Developing non-destructive test (NDT) procedures, tools, and standards.

This role requires daily interaction with factory environments, including aircraft interiors, stairs, noise, and chemical handling.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
• 5+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite and rotate shifts as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting MRB (Material Review Board) activities for aircraft structures or systems.
• Hands-on experience with materials, tooling, or manufacturing processes.
• Prior MRB certification in an aerospace production environment.
