Pay Rate Starting at: $50.82 per hour
Overtime: Expected 1–2 hours/week (voluntary)
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Electronic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to support a leading aerospace organization’s 787 program. This role is central to developing, validating, and maintaining software and electronic systems that enable safe, efficient aircraft operation.
You will play a key role in transforming customer requirements and engineering concepts into fully integrated network system solutions. From lab testing to airplane-level validation, your work will directly support production, certification, and lifecycle performance of complex aircraft systems.
As an Electronic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Design software and interface specifications based on customer and program needs.
Create scripts to automate test procedures and system analysis.
Translate concepts into detailed architectures, interface definitions, and operational specifications.
Validate system designs through laboratory testing and airplane-level integration activities.
Build, release, and configure software to support network system operations.
Solve technical issues related to fielded software and hardware throughout the product lifecycle.
Maintain configuration matrices for customer-specific architectures.
Work with internal engineering teams on installation designs and certification efforts.
Participate in design reviews, technical audits, and cross-functional working sessions.
Coordinate with airline customers to understand operational use cases of network systems.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with program requirements.
Support the 787 production environment and factory statement of work.
Perform documentation reviews and ensure accuracy across engineering releases and configuration data.
Contribute to technical improvements, process enhancements, and product quality initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with experience in an engineering classification.
1–3 years of experience in software engineering or related engineering discipline.
Strong understanding of software development principles.
Ability to identify and resolve issues within technical documentation.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with:
Python
Enovia PDM
Exposure to network systems, electrical systems, or avionics environments.
Experience working in lab environments performing testing, validation, or analysis.
Strong problem-solving, investigative, and multi-tasking skills.
