About the Opportunity

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Liaison Engineer to support one of the most respected names in the aerospace industry. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role where you will serve as the technical authority directly on the factory floor—helping transform design into executable, safe, and efficient production.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll act as the engineering representative across multiple manufacturing sites. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing production non-conformances and developing engineering dispositions.
• Conducting root cause investigations and generating corrective actions.
• Applying engineering and design principles to resolve product and process issues through the entire lifecycle.
• Researching technical, operational, and quality concerns to drive final engineering solutions.
• Documenting and resolving issues that could impact design intent, functionality, or safety.
• Identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements to production processes and products.
• Supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.
• Representing engineering across initial build, production, and post-production phases.
• Verifying supplier and build partner compliance with engineering standards.
• Developing customer-facing guidance for safe operation and maintenance.
• Participating in on-site repair teams, accident investigations, and support assignments.
• Performing structural repair analyses including jacking, shoring, and static strength evaluations.
• Designing interim structural repairs.
• Creating non-destructive test (NDT) procedures, tools, and technical standards.

This role requires daily exposure to a dynamic factory environment and may involve stairs, trip hazards, aircraft interiors, high noise areas, and chemical handling.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
• 2+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering (5+ years for mid-level).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
• Willingness to work onsite and rotate shifts as required.
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of MRB experience related to aircraft systems or structures (5+ years for mid-level).
• Hands-on experience with materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Prior MRB certification in an aerospace production environment.
