Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (7 AM – 4 PM); may rotate
Pay Rate : $35 - $42 per hour
Work Environment: Fully onsite
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Technical Designer to support a major organization within the aerospace industry. This is a hands-on, production-focused role where you’ll contribute directly to resolving real-time engineering challenges, supporting aircraft build flow, and ensuring high-quality product definition.

As a Liaison Engineer supporting production operations, you will:
Apply foundational drafting principles and design concepts to address real-time product and process issues during fabrication.
Create drafted parts, part structures, and updated model definitions in support of operational and quality requirements.
Translate engineering concepts into detailed component and assembly geometry.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support design changes and continuous improvement.
Maintain technical excellence with a long-term path toward advanced technical designer roles.
Support production teams across the lifecycle of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components.
Review engineering documentation, materials, and process specifications used to certify and produce hardware.
Identify and assess non-conformances related to electrical components, and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
Perform failure analysis in lab environments to identify root cause and corrective actions.
Support evaluations of emerging technologies for potential application on future aerospace products.
Produce specifications and documentation to support tooling, materials, equipment, and process enhancements.
This role may occasionally require alternative shifts or overtime based on production needs.
Associate degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience in aerospace design, including detail and assembly part work.
Foundational understanding of CAD, product structure, and machining of metallic parts.
Experience using CATIA or equivalent solid modeling tools.
Experience using Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT).
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Experience supporting projects across multiple functional areas.
Previous Liaison Engineering experience.
