Software Engineer – Shape the Future of Secure Aerospace Technology

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Software Engineer – Developer to support our client, a global leader in the aerospace industry, on high impact security and computing initiatives. Position Overview

Job Title: Software Engineer – Developer
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Pay Rate Starting at : $73.89 per hour

You will work as part of an Integrated Product Team responsible for designing and delivering secure hardware and software solutions that support critical aerospace systems. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep problem solving abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead development, documentation, and maintenance of software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and system designs
• Drive the development and integration of complex software components into robust, fully functional systems
• Create and execute software verification plans, test procedures, and testing environments
• Document results to ensure software meets all system requirements
• Collaborate with software engineering and hardware/VLSI teams to deliver high quality, mission critical solutions
• Work independently while contributing to a high performing, cross functional engineering environment
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance

Required Qualifications

• Experience developing and debugging software using C#
• Experience building and troubleshooting database, gRPC integration, and network interface solutions
• Strong skills in software performance analysis
• Proficiency using bug tracking and source control systems
• Experience with Python scripting

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C or C++
• Experience developing embedded software for ARM processors
• Familiarity with computer and information security principles
• Understanding of processor architectures
• Experience working in an Agile development environment

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience
• OR Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
• ABET accreditation preferred but not required
