Assembly Advisor – Lead High?Impact Lean & Production Excellence Initiatives

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Assembly Advisor to support a major aerospace industry leader in Everett, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional who thrives in teaching, guiding technical teams, and driving operational excellence through advanced Lean methodologies.

Role Summary

As an Assembly Advisor, you will lead complex group work sessions, guide teams in applying advanced Lean principles, and support production system improvements that strengthen aircraft assembly performance. Your expertise will influence production strategy, risk mitigation, training effectiveness, and overall operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Lead advanced Lean-focused group sessions and workshops to support implementation of production system improvements.
• Conduct assessments of processes, practices, and performance against established standards and criteria.
• Analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and communicate assessment outcomes to leadership.
• Partner with organizational leaders to develop strategic plans, performance metrics, and improvement roadmaps.
• Support aircraft familiarization training for 777X program teams.
• Work at multiple levels within the organization to ensure strategies, decisions, and plans are effectively executed.
• Operate independently with minimal direction while supporting a team of approximately 12 personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus typically 10+ years of related experience, OR
  Master’s degree plus typically 8+ years of related experience, OR
  Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems.
• Ability to teach Gen2 classes.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, avionics, and flight controls.
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to guide, influence, and support diverse teams.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting training programs or classroom instruction within manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Background in Lean principles, continuous improvement, or production system implementation.
• Ability to evaluate risks, identify process gaps, and recommend data-driven improvements.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM)
• Pay Rate starting at : $46.73 per hour
